Terms and conditions
Pick up time in Reykjavík area is 45 minutes before the departure time of the tour. Please be ready for pick up in time. If you have your own transportation we ask you to be at our stable 15 minutes before departure.
You can pay for your booking through our website, at booking centers, travel agencies, hotels or at our stable.
Cancellation and refund
Any cancellation must be notified in writing by email to email@example.com. If you cancel your tour 48 hours prior to the tour a 20% administration fee will be charged. If the cancellation is within the 48 hours, you must pay full tour price. Refunds can take up to 10 business days.
Age limit is 8 years old and children up to 18 years old have to be accompanied by guardians. Exceptions are made on our private tours, there is no age limit on them. To guarantee the safety of our guests we ask you to inform our tour guides of any underlying health problems before participating in our riding tours. Pregnant women should not take part in the riding tours because of possible health risks. People under the influence of alchohol or drugs will not be allowed to take part in the riding tour. A weight limit is set at 110 kg / 240 lbs.
We provide overalls, riding helmets and gloves. We ask guests to dress according to weather. Very important to wear appropriate shoe wear.
We take pride in choosing the right horse for every ride, whether you are a beginner or more advanced. We ask you to provide us with accurate information about your experience as it allows us to choose the best horse for you. A typical beginners horse for example is slow and docile while a horse for advanced riders can be very fast, powerful and to much to handle if you dont have enough experience.
Used riding gear
You can bring your own riding gear but it must be disinfected. You can find all the information about the rules of used riding gear at this link.
Hraunhestar reserve the right to alter routes, itineraries or timetables without prior notice, should the necessity arise. Tours can be cancelled for example due to bad weather conditions. No liability is accepted for loss or expense due to delays or changes of arrival or departures of flights or other services, sickness, injury, accidents, damages, strikes, negligence, weather or other causes outside the control of Hraunhestar. All such losses and expenses are the personal liability of the customer.
